Terms of Service
Last updated: October 23, 2026
These Terms explain the rules for using Anovel. Please read them before creating an account or using the Service.
1. Agreement and who provides the Service
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form an agreement between each person who accesses or uses Anovel (a “User”) and [TODO: insert the legal name, entity type, and place of registration of the Anovel operator] (the “Operator”). “Service” means the Anovel website, applications, and related features made available by the Operator.
By using the Service, a User agrees to these Terms. If a User acts for an organization, the User confirms that they have authority to accept these Terms for that organization. A person who does not agree must not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
A User must be at least 21 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. The Service is not intended for anyone under 21, and a person under 21 must not create an account or use the Service.
3. What Anovel provides
Anovel is a trip-planning product that can help Users organize travel ideas, preferences, recommendations, saved items, and itinerary information. The current Service is pre-production and may use sample, mock, incomplete, or experimental information. It does not currently sell travel, process travel payments, or act as a travel agent or travel supplier. If paid features or booking services are introduced, the Operator will provide any additional terms required before a User uses them.
4. Accounts and account security
Some features require an account. A User is responsible for providing accurate and current registration information, protecting account credentials, limiting access to devices and sessions, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized use. A User must not share an account in a way that defeats identity, consent, or access controls, and remains responsible for activity carried out through the account to the extent allowed by applicable law.
5. Travel information and User decisions
Travel information can change without notice and may be inaccurate, delayed, or incomplete. Before acting, a User is responsible for checking material details with official or primary sources, including prices, availability, schedules, restrictions, entry and transit requirements, passports and visas, health and vaccination rules, safety advice, accessibility, insurance, and local laws.
The User alone decides whether, when, and how to travel and accepts the risks of those decisions. Content in the Service is general information, not legal, medical, financial, safety, immigration, or other professional advice. The User is responsible for obtaining appropriate professional advice and maintaining suitable travel documents and insurance.
6. Automated and AI-assisted features
The Service may use automated systems to extract, organize, summarize, or suggest information. Their output can be incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable. A User must review output before relying on it and remains responsible for every resulting decision or action. Users must not submit information they lack the right to process or information whose disclosure to a provider would violate law or another person’s rights.
To provide these features, the Operator may select and change third-party AI providers and may send them prompts, User Content, trip context, and related technical information. The Operator and its providers may process that material to generate results, operate, secure, test, debug, monitor, and improve the Service, enforce these Terms, and comply with law. The Operator may retain it for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes, including in logs, security records, backups, and records needed for legal claims. Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove backup copies, and aggregated or de-identified information may be retained where applicable law permits.
Personal information will be handled as described in the Privacy Policy and under applicable data-protection law. User Content will not be used to train a third party’s general-purpose model unless that use is disclosed and any consent required by law is obtained. The Operator may use feedback, performance data, and lawfully de-identified or aggregated information to develop and improve its own systems. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator is not responsible for loss caused by a User’s reliance on automated output, and the User’s remedy for dissatisfaction with a non-mandatory automated feature is to stop using that feature.
7. User Content and sharing
“User Content” means information a User submits, uploads, saves, or shares through the Service. The User keeps any ownership rights they have in User Content. The User grants the Operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, display, and transmit User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Service and to follow the User’s sharing choices. This license ends when the content is deleted from active systems, subject to reasonable technical, legal, and backup retention requirements described in the Privacy Policy.
A User is responsible for User Content, must have the rights and permissions needed to provide it, and must not submit unlawful, misleading, harmful, or rights-infringing material. A User who creates an invitation or public link is responsible for choosing recipients and permissions. Revocation cannot recall information that another person already viewed, copied, or exported. Users must resolve their own disputes with other Users unless applicable law requires otherwise.
8. Prohibited conduct
A User must not use the Service to:
- break applicable law, facilitate harm, deceive others, or violate another person’s rights;
- access another account, trip, file, or system without authorization;
- introduce malware, disrupt the Service, bypass security or rate limits, or test vulnerabilities without written permission;
- scrape, harvest, or extract data at scale, except through an interface the Operator expressly provides for that purpose;
- reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law gives a non-waivable right to do so;
- impersonate another person, misstate an affiliation, or use automated accounts without permission; or
- use Service content or output to build or train a competing model or service unless the Operator gives written permission or applicable law expressly permits it.
9. Third-party services and links
The Service may display or link to information, maps, websites, providers, or products controlled by third parties. The Operator does not control or endorse them, and their own terms and privacy practices apply. A User is responsible for reviewing those terms, choosing whether to use a third party, checking its information, and resolving purchases, cancellations, refunds, service issues, or disputes directly with that third party. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator is not responsible for a third party’s acts, omissions, content, availability, or products.
Some links for hotels, eSIMs, attractions, transportation, or other travel products may be affiliate links. If a User follows one of these links or places an order with the provider, the Operator may receive a commission. The Service will clearly disclose that material relationship with the relevant link or recommendation. Any order is made directly between the User and the third-party provider; the Operator is not the seller or supplier. The provider alone is responsible for the product or service, fulfillment, accuracy, safety, quality, support, cancellations, refunds, and any warranties. The User is responsible for reviewing the provider’s offer and terms before ordering.
10. The Service, intellectual property, and feedback
The Service, including its software, visual design, branding, and Operator-provided content, is owned by the Operator or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, the Operator gives each User a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.
Third-party links, photographs, trademarks, and other third-party material remain the property of their respective owners. Displaying or linking to them does not transfer ownership to the Operator, and the Operator does not claim ownership merely because the material appears in the Service. The Operator uses reasonable efforts to identify and credit the appropriate owner or source when practical, but credits may be incomplete or incorrect. A credit does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation.
If a User voluntarily provides suggestions or feedback, the User allows the Operator to use it without restriction or payment, but the Operator is not required to use it. A rights holder who believes material in the Service infringes their rights may send a notice to [TODO: insert the intellectual-property notice email and any legally required agent details]. The sender is responsible for ensuring that the notice is accurate and legally sufficient.
11. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how the Operator handles personal information. A User is responsible for reading it and for having any consent or other lawful basis needed before providing another person’s personal information. The current Privacy Policy is a counsel-review draft; its identified operator, provider, retention, transfer, and contact items must be completed and approved before public launch.
12. Availability and changes to the Service
The Operator may maintain, test, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, and the Service may experience errors, delays, data loss, or downtime at any time. An interruption may begin without warning, may occur at an inconvenient or important moment for a User, and may continue for an unknown period. The Operator does not promise that advance notice, an estimated restoration time, or uninterrupted access will be available. When reasonably practical, the Operator will give notice of a material change that adversely affects Users.
A User is responsible for anticipating interruptions, keeping independent and current backups of information needed for a trip, and maintaining alternative access to critical travel details and documents. A User must not rely on the Service as the only copy of time-sensitive information. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator is not responsible for loss, damage, delay, missed travel, inconvenience, or expense caused by downtime, data unavailability, or events outside its reasonable control, except to the extent the loss cannot lawfully be excluded or was caused by liability that applicable law does not allow the Operator to limit.
13. Suspension, termination, and account deletion
A User may stop using the Service or request account deletion through the available account controls. The Operator may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect Users or the Service, investigate suspected misuse, comply with law, or address a material breach of these Terms. Where appropriate and legally permitted, the Operator will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to address the issue. The Operator may terminate access for a material or repeated breach, an unremedied breach, legal necessity, or discontinuation of the Service.
On termination, the User’s right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should continue—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, responsibility for claims, dispute terms, and general contract terms—remain in effect.
14. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” The Operator and its licensors disclaim all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, security, and freedom from harmful code. The Operator does not promise that results, recommendations, savings, or travel outcomes will meet a User’s expectations. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that applicable law does not allow the parties to exclude.
15. Limits on liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator and its officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunities, or travel, arising from or related to the Service, even if the possibility was known.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, their combined liability for all claims arising from or related to the Service will not exceed [TODO: set a fair minimum liability cap and currency after counsel review]. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including any liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable law requires that result.
16. User responsibility for claims
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, a User is responsible for losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs the Operator incurs because of the User’s unlawful use of the Service, User Content, material breach of these Terms, or violation of another person’s rights. This obligation applies only to the extent the loss was caused by the User’s conduct and does not require a consumer to compensate the Operator for the Operator’s own breach, negligence, or unlawful conduct.
17. Changes to these Terms
The Operator may update these Terms for legal, security, operational, or Service-related reasons. The updated Terms will show a new “Last updated” date. When a change materially affects a User’s rights or obligations, the Operator will provide reasonable advance notice unless an urgent legal or security reason makes advance notice impractical. A User who does not accept an update must stop using the Service before it takes effect and may request account deletion. Changes will not apply retroactively unless applicable law permits and requires that result.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [TODO: insert the jurisdiction where the Operator is incorporated or principally established], without applying its conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in [TODO: insert the matching city and jurisdiction for non-consumer disputes] will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes that the parties cannot resolve informally.
If a User is a consumer, this choice does not take away mandatory protections or access to courts that the law of the User’s usual country of residence provides. Before filing a claim, each party should send the other a written description and allow a reasonable time to seek an informal resolution, unless urgent relief or a legal deadline requires faster action. No arbitration or class-action waiver applies unless a future, jurisdiction-specific agreement is separately reviewed, clearly disclosed, and validly accepted.
19. General contract terms
These Terms and the documents they expressly incorporate are the entire agreement about the Service. If a court finds one provision unenforceable, it will be adjusted only as much as necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. A User may not transfer these Terms without the Operator’s written consent. The Operator may transfer them as part of a merger, reorganization, sale of the Service, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law and continued protection of User rights. These Terms do not create employment, agency, partnership, or third-party beneficiary rights.
20. Contact and notices
Questions or legal notices about these Terms may be sent to [TODO: insert the Operator’s legal name, legal-notice email, postal address, and support contact]. A User is responsible for keeping account contact details current. The Operator may send Service notices to the email address linked to the User’s account or display them in the Service, where permitted by applicable law. Electronic notices count as written notices where applicable law allows.
